Just-Tech is a mission driven company that focuses on bringing technology to advancing access to justice.  We are currently seeking a Technology Associate Level 1 to be a part of our progressive and innovative team in our Manhattan, NY location. 

 This team member will play an integral role in our company that provides specialized IT support to legal services providers nationwide. This will be a fast-paced position, and you will be doing help desk support as well as project work. This position is in person and will require on-site work based on client needs. Periodic work will be done at client offices that may require overnight travel. 

 About the Role: 

 The Technology Support Associate Lv 1 will spend most of their time working directly with Just-Tech’s clients, their staff members and their volunteers to help ensure that their systems and applications are fully operational and that they have the support need to optimally use their technology and delivery legal assistance. Qualified candidates MUST have the ability to communicate with clients and co-workers at both technical and non-technical levels. The perfect candidate is confident in their abilities, willing to apply their knowledge daily, and has the mindset to dig into deep issues and find solutions.   Technology Support Associate Level 1 will be required to on-site during regular business hours, as well as occasional off-hours, and occasional overnight travel may be required.  

 Just-Tech and its clients are primarily Microsoft shops with some Apple, Linux, and Solaris- based systems. Most of our clients use VoIP telephone solutions that are either premise or cloud-based. We support users who increasingly work outside of their offices and use laptops, tablets, smartphones, and MiFi devices that Just-Tech maintains and supports. Just-Tech can help train candidates whose skills might be lacking in particular areas but who would otherwise exceptionally capable and productive colleagues.

They will maintain grace under pressure and welcome the opportunity to learn unfamiliar technologies and business requirements. They must enjoy working as a member of a larger team but also have the skills, experience and confidence to work independently.  

 Role and Responsibilities: 

 The Technology Support Associate Lv 1 will assist the technical support unit in providing quality help desk and technical support under direct supervision of the Manager of Client Services in various assignments related to the function of the Help Desk and will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service as first point of contact. 
  • Use the helpdesk ticketing system to document problems, troubleshoot steps, verify problem resolution and run performance reports. 
  • Participate in the rollout of new technology, hardware and software. 
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, cloud service and end user problems. 
  • Work within a TCP/IP network environment, including DHCP, DNS and Ethernet. 
  • Create and maintain Active Directory and Exchange/Office365 accounts. 
  • Create and maintain internal documentation of processes and procedures. 
  • Install typical office IT equipment. 
  • Follow Just-Tech’s policies and procedures to include incident/problem escalation. 
  • Demonstrate good social skills in a professional environment. 

Key Qualifications 

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Desktop and Office Suite.   
  • Skilled in establishing good working relationships with technical and non-technical clients. 
  • Patience and respect for team members and clients. 
  • Excellent plain language oral and written communication skills. 
  • Experience working with end-users to identify and resolve their IT issues. 
  • Must be able to lift and set up hardware 


 Experience with: 

  • Google Apps for Non-Profits and administration. 
  • ConnectWise Manage & Automate 
  • Document imaging or management solutions 
  • VB script or other coding
