Ali Smith is an attorney who has worked on advancing access to justice through innovation in various positions. Prior to joining Just-Tech, Ali taught and supervised law students in the Legal Data and Design Clinic and Mediation Clinic for Families at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She supervised projects which included creating case outcome comparator tools, designing caseload studies, and transitioning a court’s ADR program to virtual mediations. After working as an associate in big law, Ali served as the Project Director of the Victim Legal Network – a coordinated intake and referral system composed of 20+ legal service providers in DC – where she worked on the design, launch, and eventual operations of the program.
Ali received her B.A. from the University of Florida and her J.D. from Harvard. She lives in DC and enjoys learning about urban innovation in her spare time.
